About Mrs. Culver

 
 
Jennifer Culver is in her twelfth year of teaching with Cuyahoga Falls City Schools.  Prior to her appointment to the high school, Mrs. Culver taught at Sill Middle School where she was responsible for the sixth, seventh and eighth grade concert bands and jazz bands.  In her current position, she is the conductor of both the Fall Concert Band and the Freshmen Concert Band.  Mrs. Culver also serves as the teacher of the Music Theory, Arranging & Composition, Music History, Adaptive Music Appreciation and Class Piano courses.  

 

An Ohio native, Mrs. Culver attended Kent State University and earned her Bachelor of Music degree.  Most recently, she completed her Master of Music degree in conducting with Dr. Wayne Gorder.  While pursuing this degree, Mrs. Culver had the opportunity to rehearse and conduct several ensembles at the university.  

 

Mrs. Culver maintains several professional memberships, including Music Educators National Conference, Ohio Music Education Association and the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles.  In addition to her professional instrumental music activities, she serves as the children's choir director at the United Church of Christ in Kent.  She resides in Stow with her husband, Tim and their three children, Sam, Tom and Ellie.
